Well, I know some of you are already saying, "Well, that's easy! Firefox has plugins for that. Blahblahbleh.
Well, the matter of the fact is, not everyone uses Firefox. *Gasps!* And, when trying to find plugins for Opera to do the same thing as Firefox does (I usually use Video DownloadHelper) I can never find any plugins to do the job!
Oooooor, it could be the fact that you just might not want to load FireFox down with a bunch of plugins and addons.
Whatever the case is, I've found a simple, free, web based solution. So, no need to worry about if "that program is outdated" or "fake" or "riddled with virus/whatever".
The solution is called: ClipNabber
How Does It Work?
- Visit the website ClipNabber
- In another tab, open up the desired MegaVideo (or YouTube) video you wish to download
- On the video tab, go ahead and copy the URL
(Should look something like: http://megavideo.com/?v=XXXXXXX)
- Now, go back to the ClipNabber Tab and locate the text that says "Paste the video URL below:" and do as it says then click the button labeled "Nab"
Once added and you clicked "Nab", there should be text under it that states: "Enter video page source code and then click Nab Video again:"
(Don't worry. If you don't know how there is a clickable link that says [Huh? How?] to help you out.)
- After the short loading bar, the text area will say "Video URL:" with the original URL you provided in the beginning
- Finally! Right below all that you should see a button labeled "Download FLV"--- Well, the rest should be self explainitory
